Currently a work in progress, Galaxy Duel is a simple space game where players fight each under the influence of gravity.
The flow of the player from screen to screen was mapped out to coordinate the overall aesthetic of the game. This provided an overview of the elements needed, as well as highlighting potential problems that may arise in the user interface and game flow.
The graphical design of the game was kept simple and a little bit retro. By limiting the colours each player became easily identifiable and brought harmony to game elements. A working version of the menu system was mocked up using Flash to get an idea of button states, transitions and animations.
Down the road I can see Galaxy Duel being made into an online multiplayer game where players around the world can duel each other and increase their online status.
